Man found dead in Wythenshawe after police called to house

A man’s body has been discovered at a property in south Manchester, police say.

Officers were called to a house on Spark Road, just off Royal Oak Road, in Wythenshawe, following a report of concern for the welfare of a man.

Emergency crews arrived at around 11am on Sunday morning (December 21).

When they arrived they found a man who was pronounced dead at the scene.

There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death, Greater Manchester Police said.

A GMP spokesperson said: “Shortly before 10am on Sunday 20 December 2020, officers were called to Spark Road, Manchester, to a report of concern for the welfare of a man.

“Emergency services attended and despite the best efforts of paramedics, he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

“There are believed to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.”
