Man fined over being drunk and disorderly in Nottingham street

A drunk man was led away from a Nottingham street but swore and yelled: "I'll be back".

It was the fourth time police had been called to Mansfield Road that night and left Brendan O'Connor with a £157 bill at Nottingham Magistrates' Court .

He admitted being drunk and disorderly at about 9.45pm on November 15.

Details were outlined by Quiana Fitzpatrick, prosecuting, who said O'Connor had 121 previous offences on his record.

Euan Edwards, mitigating, said: "Clearly it was an unpleasant incident, I understand that, but there are many more serious examples."

A £40 fine with £117 costs were ordered from O'Connor of Fairisle Close, Clifton.

The benefit claimant told the court: "They take it directly whether I like it or not. I will be a good boy now."
