Man fighting for his life after disturbance near Glasgow pub

A man is fighting for his life after an 'disturbance' near a pub in Glasgow.

We told how police raced to Bridge Street in the Tradeston area of the city on Sunday evening.

Officers found a 46-year-old man injured at the scene, near the Sou’ Wester Tavern.

He was rushed to the city's Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

Medics describe his condition as critical.

The surrounding area was cordoned off last night as police launched an investigation.

Enquiries are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman told the Record: At around 7:15pm police received a report a disturbance in Bridge Street, near the Sou’ Wester Tavern. 

"A 46-year old man sustained serious injuries in the incident and was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where, medical staff describe his condition as critical.

"Enquiries are ongoing."
