Man dropped off at Trinity Hospital with gunshot wound dies

A man died from a gunshot wound after he was dropped off at a hospital on the South Side Monday night, police said.

William Irving, 28, was left at Trinity Hospital in Calumet Heights about 9:50 p.m. and was pronounced dead at 11:15 p.m., according to Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

No arrests were made. Area Two detectives are investigating.
