A man was horrified when he found more than just ear wax in his ear after buying a tiny camera off TikTok. Ellis Lloyd Jones purchased the device to help him to remove ear wax and while he was having a look he discovered an object which he claims has been in his ear years.
Ellis shared a “minging” video of the earwax removal on the video sharing platform to his 200,000 followers and it has now gone viral, gaining four million views in one day. Viewers watch as the camera delves inside Ellis’ ear and the usual “wax and hair” can be seen, but then he finds a mysterious white and round object in his ear canal, WalesOnline reports.
After carefully extracting the mysterious item, Ellis is shocked to find out that it’s a sticker from a Gala apple, covered in wax. In the video Ellis, from Terorchy in the Rhondda, Wales, explains how he made the discovery.

He said: "I bought this a while back on TikTok shop, it's like one of those scoop-it-outy thingys for your ears to get the wax out and it's also got a camera in it with a light. I've been going at it just to see like what's inside my ears and what I can get out.
"You see the usual wax, you see hairs and stuff like that," he adds. "But I found something which I don't think you should find in your ear. Here's a warning, you're gonna see something really disgusting."
Commentating over the video taken on the in-ear camera, Ellis continues: "So, here we are. Like I said, very minging, loads of wax, loads of hairs, and then a white thing. A white thing by there."
Having spotted the mystery object, he tries to pull it out, with some difficulty. "I'm there trying to like pick it out and see if I can scoop it out," he says. "But it's just not budging."
However, after some careful extraction work, Ellis manages to get it out of his ear, and is horrified by what it turns out to be. Having cleared away the wax and unfurled it on a piece of kitchen roll, the Gala apple sticker is presented in all its glory.
"I haven't had a Gala apple in years," says the baffled TikToker. "So this by here has been stuck in my ears for years."
Like Ellis, viewers on TikTok were stunned by his discovery, with thousands of people leaving comments on the video and sharing their reactions. While many were suitably grossed out, others found it satisfying, while most were left wondering how the sticker had stayed in his ear for so long without him noticing.
"This is not what they meant by an apple a day keeps the doctor away," said one, while another said the video had left them "feeling sick". A third commented: "I don't know what I was expecting, but it definitely wasn't that," with one person even describing it as a "vintage find".
Viewers had plenty of questions, the main one being: "How did that get in there?", to which Ellis replied: "I can only assume I put it in when I was a child." Others wanted to know if his hearing had improved, with viewers claiming it "must be immaculate" with the TikToker able to "hear in 3D now".
However, it wasn't all about what Ellis found in his ear, with many viewers distracted by his strong accent. "This by yur's been stuck in my yur for yurs," said one, with another declaring it "the greatest Welsh sentence ever".
