A murder investigation has been launched after a man aged in his 20s died in a knife attack.
Seven men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after the stabbing in North Road, Southall on Wednesday.
Police were called at 00:41hrs by the London Ambulance Service following reports of a stabbing.
Officers attended with paramedics and two men were found to have been injured.
Despite the efforts of medical staff, a man in his 20s – who had suffered a knife wound - was pronounced dead at the scene.
Seven men, aged from their early 20s to late 30s, were arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder. Six remain in police custody.
The seventh man, in his 30s, was taken to hospital, where he remains.
His condition is not believed to be life threatening, a police spokesperson said.
The fatal stabbing comes after a weekend of violence in London which saw two murders and seven others stabbed within 72 hours.
Detective Chief Inspector Matthew Denby, who is leading the investigation for the Met's Specialist Crime Command said: “My thoughts remain with the loved ones of the man who has died.
“We believe that the two men suffered wounds during an altercation outside a property on North Road. I would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time or who has CCTV footage of what occurred.
“There is a large police cordon in place on North Road and surrounding streets. This is likely to remain while our enquiries continue, and I want to thank residents for their patience.”
