Man dies after fall from tower flat block in south-east London

A man in his 30s has died after falling from a 29-storey block of flats in south-east London.

Police and paramedics rushed to the scene at riverside Aragon Tower in George Beard Road, on Deptford’s Pepys Estate, at roughly 7.15am on Thursday.

A Met Police spokesperson said: “A man, believed to be aged in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin are yet to be informed.”

Scotland Yard confirmed the man’s death is being treated as “unexpected”.

An investigation is underway to establish what happened in the lead-up to the man’s death.
