A man has died after being seen in the river near Newport's Transporter Bridge on Monday.
Police received a call from a member of the public at 4.30 pm on July 29 reporting a man in the water of the River Usk.
The man was taken to the Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport, where sadly he was pronounced dead.
Gwent Police and South Wales Fire and Rescue Service officers attended the scene.
His death is not being treated as suspicious.
