Man detained after incident outside Piri Piri in Easton

A man has been detained after police were called to a public order incident on Stapleton Road today (April 20). Officers were called to the busy street in Easton after two vehicles were disrupting traffic.

An eyewitness reported seeing four police cars and one police van outside Piri Piri at about 6.42pm. And pictures taken at the scene show at least three police vehicles in attendance.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Constabulary said officers were on Stapleton Road for roughly 45 minutes. The spokesperson said: "Officers were called to Stapleton Road following reports of a public order incident involving two motorists.

"A man has been detained. The vehicles were causing an obstruction but they have since been moved."
