Pep Guardiola has resisted making too many changes to his Manchester City side for tonight’s Champions League clasg against Borussia Dortmund.
The Spaniard has been tactically flexible this season, flitting between a handful of formations, though Niko Kovac is more dogmatic - he is yet to deviate from his three-at-the-back setup.

Guardiola has preferred a 4-1-4-1 when facing a back three this season, meaning a step away from the side which picked Bournemouth apart last weekend is not unlikely.
Speaking pre-match, he described that match as “demanding”, suggesting rotation will be the name of the game on Wednesday.
In total, Guardiola has made three changes to the side that started the 3-1 win over Bournemouth at the weekend as Ruben Dias, Bernardo Silva and Rayan Cherki make way for John Stones, Tijjani Reijnders and Savinho.
Erling Haaland captains Man City against his former club, while Rayan Ait-Nouri is on the bench once again after recovering from injury.
Mateo Kovacic is the only long-term absentee for City, ruled out with a long-term ankle injury. However, there is no place in the matchday squad for Rodri.
