Man City U18s advance in FA Youth Cup with victory over Swansea City

Man City U18s have advanced past Swansea City in the FA Youth Cup with a 3-0 win at the Academy Stadium.

City were the dominant team throughout the match and came away with a well earned victory in the third round.

Captain Tommy Doyle got City underway at the end of the first-half when he repeated his trick of bending a delightful free-kick around the wall and beyond the sprawling goalkeeper.

Star of the show Jayden Braaf got the second in the second-half with a tidy solo effort.

Picking the ball up on the touchline, the Dutchman easily evaded his marker before cutting inside and firing a low shot across the goalkeeper and into the bottom corner.

Braaf came close to another great goal but the chance was accidentally spoiled by James McAtee, though the midfielder made amends late on as he turned in a deflected cross from the edge of the six yard box to seal the impressive win.

The young Blues have now advanced to the last-32 of the prestigious competition and will be hoping to go one step further than last year when they heartbreakingly lost the final to Liverpool.
