Man City starting line up vs Burnley includes Cole Palmer and Aymeric Laporte

Cole Palmer has been handed his Manchester City senior debut in the Carabao Cup fourth round tie at Burnley.

The young forward starts in a much-changed side from the one that lost against Leicester on Sunday, but Pep Guardiola's men are boosted by the return of Aymeric Laporte in defence.

Laporte was on the bench against Leicester, and he comes in to replace Nathan Ake in defence. Fernandinho starts as a centre-back, with Kyle Walker and Benjamin Mendy once again starting at full-back.

In midfield, Guardiola has gone strong, with Rodri and Kevin de Bruyne in the centre.

In attack, Ferran Torres and Riyad Mahrez are on the wings, with Raheem Sterling and Cole Palmer in attack.

Guardiola, who again gives Zack Steffen a start in goal over Ederson, has named a bench with a mix of experience and youth, with Bernardo Silva an injury boost as he is among the substitutes.

Liam Delap, Tommy Doyle and Taylor Harwood-Bellis are on the bench, with Ake and Phil Foden.

Man City starting XI vs Burnley: Steffen, Walker, Fernandinho (C), Laporte, Mendy, Rodrigo, De Bruyne, Torres, Mahrez, Sterling, Palmer.

Substitutes: Ederson, Ake, Bernardo, Foden, Delap, Doyle, Harwood-Bellis.
