The agent of Kevin De Bruyne is under investigation in Belgium.
The offices of Patrick Koster, head of the Manchester City star’s agency J and S International Football Mangement were raided yesterday by the Belgian federal public prosecutor’s office, according to respected newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws (HLN).
Koster is said to have spent the night in police cells and will appear before a judge today.
The matter is said to be connected to matters dating back to 2013 to 2014, when De Bruyne was at Chelsea.
The details of the case are yet to emerge, and it is unclear whether a dispute between De Bruyne and Koster, initiated by the player’s dad Herwig De Bruyne, is connected to this investigation.
HLN report that Koster will appear before investigating judge Michel Claise today (Friday, August 28), after offices in Brussels, Knokke and Senegal were raided by officers.
De Bruyne has been in dispute with Koster for some time, but the agent was still allowed to negotiate the player’s last contract extension.
Lawyers for Koster say that the agent is “cooperating in all transparency” over the matter.
