Man City plan for new signing Kluiverth Aguilar revealed

Peruvian teenager Kluiverth Aguilar will be sent out to other teams within the City Football Group rather than joining Manchester City straight away.

Alianza Lima announced on their website on Saturday that Aguilar will join City when he turns 18, on May 5, 2021, and will remain with the Peru club until then.

The 16-year-old made his debut in November and is a highly-rated right-back, but it is understood his chances will come elsewhere within the CFG rather than at City.

That is likely to mean Aguilar will begin his journey at New York City (United States), Melbourne City (Australia), Yokohama Marinos (Japan), Montevideo City Torque (Uruguay), Girona (Spain), Sichuan Jiuniu (China) or Mumbai City FC (India).

But the Peru Under-17 international is ready to try and take his chance to make it in Europe.

"Going to City is something big in my career. I'm happy they have signed me," said Aguilar.

"It is a club with players, a coach and fans that are all extraordinary. My goal is to become an outstanding player in the first team.

"I am glad that the possibility of moving to Europe presented itself to me while I am an Alianza player."

A statement on the Alianza Lima website said: "Within its policy of signing players with great potential, Manchester City saw in Kluiverth Aguilar a talent capable of playing at the highest level.

"Alianza Lima is proud that a footballer from its team can link his future to that of one of the most prestigious clubs in the world."
