Manchester City are considering a January transfer bid for England captain and Spurs striker Harry Kane, according to reports.
Eurosport have reported that City "are looking into how they reinvent the front line", having played most of the season without a recognised No.9.
City's pursuit of Harry Kane this past summer was one of the worst kept secrets in football, with the striker keen on the move but Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy proving a tricky negotiator.
Nothing materialised, with City eventually signing Aston Villa attacking midfielder Jack Grealish for £100million and giving him the No.10 shirt — the same number Kane currently dons for Spurs.
Kane made a slow start to the season with Spurs scoring just four goals in his first 16 games, but has now bagged 17 for club and country in 29 appearances, netting in his past two games since Christmas.
Elsewhere multiple reports have suggested City could have a major say in the outcome of the Erling Haaland transfer saga.
It is unlikely that a move will materialise in January, but City are said to be one of the teams looking to trigger the Norweigan's £66million release clause.
Should multiple teams do so, it will likely come down to a bidding war with Haaland's agent, Mino Raiola.
Finally, Bernardo Silva has given City fans some good news over his future.
The Portuguese star wanted to leave this past summer, but has gone on to be one of the club's best performers so far this season.
He has now spoken about his future and suggested he might be open to staying at City.
He said: "Right now I think it’s the best championship in the world, I think it’s the country where the level is highest. There was a Spanish dominance a few years ago, which lasted a long time.
"I think that at the moment the English teams are the strongest in the world and therefore it is always good to be where the best football is played."
