
A man has been charged with high-range drink driving after a pursuit on the Central Coast on Saturday.
Tuggerah Lakes police say they spotted a Mazda speeding along Lindsay Avenue at Shelly about 11pm.
Police attempted to stop the vehicle after it entered the carpark of a shopping complex in Bay Village Road at Bateau Bay, however the driver allegedly accelerated away before eventually coming to a stop.
The 23-year-old driver was removed from the vehicle and arrested.
He was taken to Wyong Police Station where he allegedly returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.157.
The Berkeley Vale man was charged with police pursuit, speeding and high-range drink driving. His licence was also suspended.
He was granted conditional bail to appear in Wyong Local Court on August 16.
Meanwhile, a 14-year-old boy has been flown to hospital with multiple fractures after a crash between two motorcycles at a property at Williamtown on Sunday.
Police and emergency services were called to the property on Lavis Lane about 11am.
Westpac said NSW Ambulance Paramedics and the Helicopter Critical Care Medical Team treated and stabilised the 14-year-old boy at the scene before he was flown to John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition.
The other rider was not injured, police said.
