A man has appeared in court after being charged with child sex offences.
Alan Cherry was arrested at his home in Holley Court, Rainhill, on Thursday, August 12.
The 54-year-old was later charged with attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child and two counts of attempting to breach a sexual harm prevention order.

Cherry appeared in Liverpool Magistrates Court on Friday, August 13 and was remanded in custody for sentencing at Liverpool Crown Court in September.
A Merseyside police spokesperson said: "Alan Cherry, 54, of Holley Court, Rainhill was arrested at his home address on Thursday 12 August.
"He has been charged with attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child and two counts of attempting to breach a sexual harm prevention order.
"He appeared in Liverpool Magistrates Court on Friday 13 August and was remanded in custody for sentencing at Liverpool Crown Court on 10 September."
