Man charged following death of 30-year-old in Scottish village

A 35-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of a man in a South Lanarkshire village last month.

Police were called to a report of two men found injured in the Braeside Crescent area of Kirkmuirhill at around 4.45am on Wednesday, August 27.

Scott Boyd, 30, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 35-year-old man was taken to University Hospital Wishaw for treatment but has since been released.

Police said the man who has been charged will appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court in due course.
