Man beaten up in Publow after confronting football fans over parking

A man has suffered a fractured eye socket and broken nose after being assaulted in Publow on Sunday (March 8).

Police are now appealing for witnesses after the assault which took place in Publow at 11.30am on the Sunday morning on Hursley Lane, near the Bristol Spartak ground.

The injured man, aged 41, was assaulted after confronting spectators at a football match over parked cars blocking the lane.

Three or four men then proceeded to kick and head butt him.

The police have said the investigation is continuing but officers are keen to hear from anyone who saw the altercation with spectators or the assault.
