A 20 year old man has been arrested after a woman's body was found in Melbourne's southeast. (AAP)

A man has been arrested over the death of a woman in Melbourne's southeast.

The 20-year-old Springvale man was arrested on Monday afternoon in the CBD and will now be interviewed by detectives.

The arrest follows an incident on Thursday, 10 February when a 41-year-old Springvale woman was located deceased inside her Glendale Road home.

Police say the two were known to each other and they aren't looking for anyone else.
