Man arrested following fatal road crash on Christmas Day in Scottish city

A MAN has been arrested and charged following an investigation into a fatal road crash near Stirling on Christmas Day last year.

Police were called to the A811 between the Kings Knot roundabout and Kippen Station roundabout near Leckie at around 2pm on Wednesday, December 25, 2024.

Sixty-year-old David Buckley, who was riding a motorcycle at the time, died following a collision with a car.

After the crash, Buckley’s family said he would be “forever missed and never forgotten”, describing him as a “wonderful father, husband, son, brother, uncle and friend”.

Police have confirmed that a 73-year-old man has now been arrested and charged following an investigation into the crash.

He has since been released and has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal.
