A man has been arrested and charged after a schoolgirl was assaulted in one of Glasgow's leafiest suburbs.
The 14-year-old was attacked on a lane between Robslee Drive and Burnfield Road in Giffnock on the evening of December 22.
Police treated the incident as an assault with intent to rob.
Officers confirmed on Tuesday that a man has been arrested and charged in connection with the attack.
The 20-year-old is expected to appear at court in due course.
A spokesperson from East Renfrewshire Police Division said: "On the evening of 22nd December a 14 year old girl was the victim of an Assault With Intent to Rob on a lane between Robslee Drive and Burnfield Road.
"Following enquiry a 20-year-old man has been arrested and charged.
"He is expected to appear at court in due course."
