Man arrested and charged after Ibrox police incident

A man has been arrested and charged after police were called to a disturbance at flats in Ibrox last night.

Officers arrived on the scene at Skene Road shortly after 7pm following reports of concern for a person.

A 27-year-old man was taken to hospital by the emergency services, and police confirmed he was subsequently arrested and charged.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police were called about 7pm to a report of a disturbance in the Skene Road area of Glasgow, following concern for a person in a flat.

"About 9.25pm and a 27-year-old man was taken to hospital for assessment.

"He's now been arrested and charged in connection with the disturbance and he is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court today.

"A report will be sent the Procurator Fiscal."
