A man in his 20s has been arrested after a woman was seriously injured in a shooting in north Dublin.
Gardai rushed to the scene after shots were fired at a house in Shangan Park, Ballymun yesterday at around 2.30pm.
The woman's injuries were non-life threatening and she was treated at the scene by paramedics and was taken to hospital.
The man was arrested by the gardai a short time later.
A garda spokesman said: "He is currently detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939 at Ballymun Garda Station.
"Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information to contact them at Ballymun on 01 666 4400 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111. Investigations are ongoing."
