A man has been arrested following a five-hour stand off with police in Tameside.
Emergency services were called to Mossley Road in Ashton-under-Lyne - close to Tameside Hospital - on Thursday morning following concerns for a man on the roof of a house.
Witnesses say he was throwing roof tiles into the street below.
The road was closed in both directions and a cordon put in place.
Neighbours were urged to stay indoors.
Specialist negotiators were drafted in to speak with the man, who could be seen walking up and down the roof.
There was also damage to the property, with a number of tiles missing near the chimney of the house.

The man eventually came down at around 4.40pm.
He was put into the back of an ambulance and taken to hospital.
A spokesman for GMP said he has since been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage.
They said: "A 35-year-old man was detained at hospital and arrested on suspicion of criminal damage.
"He remains in custody for questioning."
It's understood Mossley Road reopened at around 6.30/7pm - more than seven hours later.
Ashton inspector Lee Derbyshire posted on Facebook following the incident: "A big thank you from me to local residents for your patience and co-operation whilst we dealt with the incident on Mossley Rd today, especially those that kindly brought drinks for the various emergency services which was much appreciated.
"Road back open soon - Insp Derbyshire."
