A Larkhall man stole paperwork from a police vehicle, Hamilton Sheriff Court heard last week.
Jamie Laing, 27, of Glengonnar Street, admitted taking a police journey bill book from the unsecure vehicle in Duneaton Wynd, Larkhall, on July 31.
He also admitted spitting on a police officer and kicking another officer.
Laing was given a three-month electronic tagging order which confines him to his home between 7pm and 7am each day.
