Man accused of driving into crowds at Liverpool victory parade pleads not guilty

  • Paul Doyle, a 53-year-old former Royal Marine, has denied 31 charges after allegedly driving his car into crowds of Liverpool football fans.
  • An incident occurred on Water Street in Liverpool city centre on 26 May, following the club's Premier League victory parade.
  • Merseyside Police reported that 134 people were injured.
  • The charges include multiple counts of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent, causing grievous bodily harm with intent, wounding with intent, dangerous driving, and affray.
  • Mr Doyle, who remains in custody, is scheduled for a provisional trial starting on 24 November, expected to last three to four weeks.
