A pensioner has died after acar hit a wall in Alderley Edge.
Emergency services were called to the crash on Davey Lane at around 3.30pm on Thursday (April 1).
A white Peugeot hit a wall, Cheshire Police said.
The driver of the car - an 84-year-old man - was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
He sadly died a short time later.
Police have not yet named the man. His next of kin has been informed.
Detectives are asking for witnesses to come forward, particularly those with dash cam footage.
In a statement, a spokesperson for the force said: "Officers are appealing for information following a serious collision in Alderley Edge.
"At around 3.30pm on Thursday 1 April police attended following reports of a collision involving a white Peugeot car and a wall on Davey Lane.
"The driver of the vehicle, an 84-year-old man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Sadly, the man died a short time later.
"His next of kin have been informed.
"Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or may have any dashcam footage of the vehicles before the incident to come forward."
Two air ambulances were pictured on a field near Davey Lane after the collision.
Several emergency service vehicles were stationed at the scene and the road was closed off.
