Man, 28, arrested after woman robbed near Springburn Police Station

A 28-year-old man has been arrested following a robbery which took place in a lane off Springburn Road.

As reported on Glasgow Live , a 46-year-old woman was walking along the north Glasgow lane, to the rear of Springburn Police Office, around 9.25am on Saturday, November 23, when she was approached from behind and attacked.

Her leg was slashed with a knife and her handbag was stolen from her.

Today, a Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 28-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

“He is expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court today (Thursday, November 28).

"A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
