A man was arrested today after gardai found two guns following an overnight operation in Dublin’s south inner city.
As part of ongoing investigations into serious criminality in the Tallaght area, members of the Armed Support Unit (ASU) and gardaí from the Tallaght District searched and apartment in the Kevin Street area on Saturday night.
During the course of the search two hand guns, along with two magazines and quantities of ammunition, were recovered.
A man in his late 20s was arrested at the scene and is being detained at Kilmainham Garda Station. The man can be held for up to three days.
The investigation is ongoing.
