Fans of Malcolm in the Middle can rejoice after one of the show's main stars revealed the popular sitcom is set for a comeback.
The hit series proved a huge success in the early noughties, with child star Frankie Muniz shooting to fame alongside the likes of Bryan Cranston.
Viewers were gutted in 2005 when the show came to a quick end after being cancelled by the network, but the party hats can come out with news it will return to the small screen.
Bryan, who played dad of the family Hal on the US sitcom has revealed the news in a latest interview, much to the delight of viewers across the globe.
The actor, who later went on to star in the likes of Breaking Bad said he had been approached about a reboot by the show's creator Linwood Boomer - and had accepted the invite.
Speaking to GQ, Bryan revealed he will be ready to film new scenes as soon as he has finished his duties in zany film Asteroid City.
He told the publication: "I’m curious about that family 20 years later, what happened to them? Where are they? What are the kids doing? They’re grown men now."
It remains to be seen whether the full past line-up will return, which saw Frankie play Malcolm, Christopher Kennedy Masterson take on the role of Francis, Reese played by Justin Berfield and Erik Per Sullivan star as Dewey. While Bryan has confirmed his role, viewers will have to wait to see if his onset wife Jane Kaczmarek will reprise her role as mum Lois.
The programme showed the exploits of boy wonder Malcolm and his family of misfits.
Frankie previously revealed he never really wanted to be an actor and has since took up a role in motorsport.
The former child star, now 37, previously spoke about making the switch in careers. Chatting to CNBC's Make It series earlier this year, he revealed his feelings of "running out of time" made him "take advantage of having the opportunity to do things".
This season saw him get off to a successful start which saw him placed top of the leader board after the first three races.
