A former Olympic venue has officially rebranded as Afterpay Arena, with new signage and a planned ribbon-cutting ceremony marking the change.
The previously named Qudos Bank Arena at Sydney Olympic Park, has hosted many of the city's biggest events over nearly three decades.
Afterpay revealed in May it had secured naming rights for the stadium under a five year deal, having existed under its previous banner for a little over a decade.
The new namesake company aimed to put a fresh face on facilities including redesigned bars and hospitality spaces, as well as a foyer uplift.
"There are two sides to a great live experience," Afterpay co-founder and chief executive, Nick Molnar said earlier.
"There's the excitement that drives you to purchase the tickets, and then there's ... the moment you get to see your favourite band, team, or comedian live."
The venue has hosted many of entertainment's biggest names throughout its 27-year life span, beginning with Luciano Pavarotti in 1999.
Built for roughly $200 million, the arena was a key component of the Sydney 2000 Olympic and Paralympic Games, hosting artistic gymnastics, trampoline, the basketball finals and wheelchair basketball.
Since then it has hosted artists from Bruce Springsteen to Billie Eilish as well as comedy, family entertainment and cultural experiences.
Common uses for the space include tennis, netball, basketball, arena musicals, religious services, school spectaculars and banquets.
The Arena's 15 millionth ticket was sold during Linkin Park's Tour 2026 World Tour.
