MUMBAI: A special MCOCA court has granted alleged gangster DK Rao permission to use a mosquito net in Taloja jail. The court, however, said that this was to be done without fixing nails on the walls and tying ropes. The jail authorities had cited this as a security hazard.
“The medical officer of JJ Hospital also advised to use the mosquito net to the accused. This advice was issued on July 8. Hence, considering all these aspects, I am of the view that, the applicant DK Rao is required to be permitted to use mosquito net as prayed for by him for his personal use,” the court said.
