MUMBAI: BJP MLA Ashish Shelar has received an anonymous letter of death threats and informed the Bandra Police about it on Friday. Police said they are in the process of registering an FIR.
Shelar told TOI that the letter was written in Marathi and was abusive.
"The letter was full of expletives targetted at me and my family, Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and the state government. The writer of the letter also mentioned that he would make pieces of me and scatter them around Girgaum Chowpatty. It's a serious matter and I've made an application to the Bandra Police who will investigate further," he said.
