ORLANDO, Fla. _ The Orlando Magic couldn't become the first team to hand the Los Angeles Lakers a road loss this season.
LeBron James recorded a triple-double with 25 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists as the Lakers turned back the Magic for a 96-87 win Wednesday night at Amway Center.
The Magic (11-13) have now lost back-to-back games to the top teams in the Eastern Conference and Western Conference. Orlando fell 110-101 to East leader Milwaukee on Monday night.
Jonathan Isaac scored 19 points and Evan Fournier had 18 points for the Magic. Aaron Gordon posted 14 points and 14 rebounds for Orlando, which rallied from a 24-point first-half deficit.
The Magic tied the game at 71-71 on a 3-pointer by Michael Carter-Williams before the Lakers (22-3) responded with an 8-0 burst as James assisted on all three field goals in the run _ a layup by Avery Bradley, a 3 by Alex Caruso and a 3 by Jared Dudley.
The Magic never got closer than six the rest of the way.
Orlando returns to action on Friday when they host the Houston Rockets.
