MAGA stalwart claims someone with Trump Derangement Syndrome ‘geoengineered’ DC heatwave

A MAGA faithful and prominent 2020 election denier claimed the intense heat oppressing the nation’s capital and disrupting America’s 250th celebrations was “geoengineered” by a person with Trump Derangement Syndrome.

Kylie Jane Kremer, a right-wing activist who organized rallies for President Donald Trump before the January 6 riot, insisted “someone with an extreme case of [Trump Derangement Syndrome] geoengineered this weather in DC.”

“Same way they geoengineered Trump’s inauguration to be one of the coldest in U.S. history. People with [Trump Derangement Syndrome] hate Trump more than they love America,” Kremer wrote on X.

Trump’s rally and massive fireworks show in Washington, D.C., Saturday are at risk of delays or outright cancellations with temperatures as high as 102ºF and severe thunderstorms expected. One Washington Post report says D.C. will be hotter than 99 percent of the world

Already, the Great American State Fair, a FIFA Fan Zone for the World Cup and Washington Monument grounds are opening later in the day to reduce the risk of long heat exposure. The Independence Day Parade was also canceled due to the blistering temperatures.

Excessive exposure to hot and humid weather is dangerous to the human body because it can cause dehydration quickly and cause the body to overexert itself as it tries to keep a person cool.

Intense heat and storms are also threatening celebrations across the Midwest and down the East Coast.

While meteorologists have attributed the extreme temperatures and humidity to a “heat dome” or an area of high pressure, Kremer insisted the weather must be human manipulation.

She pointed to ping-pong-sized hail, lightning storms and 50 mph winds at Mount Rushmore in South Dakota, where Trump spoke Friday.

“BuT iT’s NoT gEoInGeErInG!~!” Kremer wrote, stylized to indicate sarcasm.

“TDS is REAL and destroying America!” She added, referring to the fake illness the president invented to dismiss his critics as irrational.

For years, conservative figures have peddled conspiracy theories about the government using various methods to control the weather and incite natural disasters. Republican lawmakers in nearly 20 state legislatures have proposed laws banning weather modification, NBC News reported last year.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has consistently denied allegations that the government controls the weather and has stated that extreme weather, such as hurricanes, is a natural phenomenon.

Scientists have said for years that weather events are likely to become more frequent and extreme as global warming occurs. That means more rain during storms, stronger winds in hurricanes, higher heat indexes during heatwaves, freezing temperatures in the winter and more.
