MAFS Contestant Leaks Show’s Social Media Rules After The Cast Got Their Accounts Back

The Married At First Sight(MAFS) cast are finally back on social media, freely sharing their lives (and grievances about their time on the reality show) with the world.

For the cast, it’s been six months since they’ve had access to their OG accounts, with some cast members reverting to other accounts to get their voices heard. Now that they have their account back, you’d think that they’re free to post whatever they’d like.

However, one anonymous cast member spilled that there are some rules, or at the very least, guidelines they are asked to follow.

Speaking to Yahoo! Lifestyle, an anonymous 2025 participant revealed the guidelines they’re given when getting their social media accounts back. In the document, Channel Nine encouraged the participants not to mention their return to social media specifically.

“Since all content and captions published to your account during the season were selected and written by you, we advise you to avoid announcing your ‘return’ to social or mentioning the publishing process in order to maintain the authenticity between you and your followers,” the guidelines read, per Yahoo! Lifestyle.

Although the cast is stoked to have their accounts back, they have been encouraged not to take on any brand deals or sponsored posts just yet. Plus, they’ve been allegedly asked not to talk about what happened behind the scenes on MAFS.

“You can use your social media accounts for personal content publishing, noting this personal content needs to adhere to your exclusivity timings and provisions (non-commercial purposes only),” the document reportedly reads.

Interestingly, it doesn’t seem that all of the cast members are following the guidelines. So far, Sierah Swepstone and Jacqui Burfoot have already hinted at a bad time during filming, while Rhi Disljenkovic and Carina Mirabile have collaborated with makeup and beauty artists on IG already.

Honestly, power to them, if you ask me.
