FINALLY, in much-needed positive Married At First Sight (MAFS) news, season 10 groom Ollie Skelton has proposed to his partner Nadia Marvin.
After weeks upon weeks of plot twists, cheating allegations, online scraps and couple swaps, we’ve finally got some sweet, sweet news from the tumultuous world of MAFS.
As the rest of Australia took some time to rest up — or reflect on the lord’s sacrifice — on Good Friday, Ollie took to his social media accounts to announce that he’d proposed to his girlfriend Nadia on Thursday afternoon.
“Yesterday afternoon, I proposed to Nadia, if you squint your eyes a little bit, you’ll see she said YES,” the 2023 groom shared.
In the video, the pair can be seen walking down a pier during golden hour, in which you can see Ollie poppin’ the good ol’ question of “will you marry me?”.

Shortly after he made the big announcement, friends, fans, family, and his MAFS co-stars showered his post with congratulations and well wishes.
“Yessss my man,” fellow season ten groom Duncan James wrote, alongside his partner Evelyn Ellis, who penned, “OMGOSHHHH congrats.”
“Congratulations you two xxxx,” Domenica Calarco, from season nine, commented.
“Big time! 💙💙 ‘it’s a lovely day,'” fellow groom Layton Mills wrote.
For folks who need a refresher on Ollie’s journey on MAFS, the Western Australia-based voice actor came to the experts hoping to find his forever person.
The experts matched the bloke with NSW-based PR manager Tahnee Cook, and honestly, the pair got on like a house on fire. Eventually, the dynamic duo grew to become a fan-favourites of season 10, and were one of the only couples to continue their relationship beyond the show.
Unfortunately, in December 2023, and after over a year of dating, the pair announced the end of their relationship in separate Instagram statements.
“Hello, Tahnee and I have split up. It’s sad, but it’s okay,” Ollie wrote in his statement.
“What a ride! A journey filled with love, laughter, challenges, and in the last month, reflection. I think we tried really hard to make it work.
“There is such a separation from Skye Suites to real life that I think is really hard to account for and (albeit not without trying) was an adjustment that we struggled to make.
“I kinda have this pipe dream of us being like Jerry and Elaine from Seinfeld post-breakup, a very hard thing to do obviously, but the sentiment at its core is that I plan to try to be someone who champions Tahnee and can be there for her as a friend.
“In a post like this, the words ‘friend’ and ‘break up’ are usually synonymous but with little truth behind them. However, if friendship was the foundation of us before love, I like to think it might be something we can share in the aftermath.”
Tahnee’s post echoed the same sentiment and emphasised how they’d hope to stay friends post-split.
“Just as I share the highlights of my life on here, it’s only fair for me to share when things aren’t always fun,” Tahnee penned.
“Sadly, Ollie and I have decided to part ways. Our lives are taking us in different directions and we feel at this stage it’s the best decision for us. From meeting as strangers who got ‘married’, to genuinely finding love, I’m pretty proud of the time we’ve shared.
“Our journey together has been such a roller coaster but sometimes relationships just don’t work out – no matter how much you want them to – and that’s okay.
“I’m so thankful for what these last 16 months has taught me, and for the genuinely supportive community I’ve found on here. Breakups are never easy but heartbreak is worth it in the pursuit of love.”
Although they both aimed to stay friends after their relationship breakdown, it appeared that things turned sour between them as they both began to throw shade at each other on social media.
A couple of months later, in April 2024, Nadia Marvin hard-launched her relationship with the former MAFS groom on her private Instagram Stories.
But it wasn’t until June 2024 that Ollie officially hard-launched Nadia on his social media platforms.
Since then, the pair have shared sweet snaps of each other, including adorable selfies, fun adventures and all that lovey-dovey jazz.
