Madonna might have lived her life very much in the spotlight.
But her father Silvio Ciccone is rarely seen on her social media accounts - until Father's Day came around on Sunday June 20 when she posted a sweet photo of him with her children.
Madonna posted the group picture, with her and her father set next to one another while her children - eldest daughter Lourdes, 24; David, 15; Mercy, 15m and eight-year-old twins Estere and Stelle - gathered around them.
"Happy Father Day Dad ... We are Both Excellent Fathers!! #blessed," she wrote alongside a string of different coloured heart emojis.
Madonna's dad rarely appears in photos shared with the singer's 16 million Instagram followers, but earlier this month she posted a sweet video of him backstage at one of her shows to mark his 90th birthday.
In the clip, he can be seen standing next to Madonna as they both hold hands with each other and the rest of the crew.
Giving them all a blessing before they head out on stage, he says: "Heavenly father, thank you for the blessings you bestow on all of us, the life you have given us, the air we breathe, the people we spend our life with.
"Give them strength to endure and to go on with their performance. Thank you for all your blessings, amen."
In the clip, which was taken during Madonna's Re-Invention World Tour in 2004, the singer added: "Dad, I'm going to swear no. Don't be upset, okay? We're gonna tear the roof off this [expletive] oooh!"
Family is clearly important to the pop star.
Last year, she had her first ever tattoo at the age of 62 in a tribute to her six children.
Sharing a picture of the inking, she wrote: "Inked for The Very First Time #family."
"L R D M S E," the tattoo reads - a tribute to her six children, including Rocco, 20, who she has with ex Guy Ritchie.
