Madeleine McCann’s brother swims in Commonwealth Games final

Madeleine McCann Commonwealth Games Sean McCann

Sean McCann, the 21-year-old brother of Madeleine McCann, competed in the men's 400 metres freestyle final at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
He finished in eighth place with a time of three minutes 53.47 seconds, having qualified earlier by placing eighth overall in the heats.
McCann's parents, Gerry and Kate, along with his twin sister Amelie, were in attendance to support him at the Tollcross International Swimming Centre.
He expressed his delight at reaching the final, stating it was unexpected given the strong competition.
McCann, who represents Scotland through his Glasgow-born father, aims to use this experience as a stepping stone towards competing in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
