In life, there are three guarantees: death, taxes, and a new edition of Madden NFL, the popular pro football video game. With the offseason ramping up towards training camp, the gaming world is preparing for the launch of Madden 20.
To help build hype for the new game, EA Sports recently released the ratings of all the rookie players. Since the Seahawks have 11 rookies from the 2019 NFL Draft, the developers at EA certainly had their work cut out for them.
Starting with highest rated to lowest, here’s how the Seahawks rookies stack up.
D.K. Metcalf, WR – 76 overall
Ben Burr-Kirven, LB – 69 overall
L.J. Collier, DE – 69 overall
Gary Jennings, WR – 69 overall
Cody Barton, LB – 68 overall
Ugo Amadi, FS – 67 overall
Marquise Blair, SS – 67 overall
Demarcus Christmas, DT – 65 overall
Phil Haynes, LG – 65 overall
John Ursua, WR – 65 overall
Travis Homer, RB – 63 overall
Considering none of these players have logged a single down on an NFL field, their low ratings this summer make plenty of sense. Of course, as the season progresses, the ratings are due to change each week as the game updates itself to stay current with the league in real time.
Although, it should be noted Seattle does have a couple rookies who standout among the rest in the game thus far. Wide receiver D.K. Metcalf is the second highest rated rookie receiver, only behind Baltimore’s Marquise Brown. Metcalf also has the second-fastest speed rating at 95 overall.
Former Washington Husky standout Ben Burr-Kirven is also the third highest-rated rookie middle linebacker, behind only Devin White of the Buccaneers and Devin Bush of the Steelers.
Madden will certainly be releasing the ratings for the rest of the NFL soon enough. Seahawks Wire will have the updates when they arrive.
