Anupamaa actress Madalsa Sharma was recently seen in the get-up of Gangubai, the character played by Alia Bhatt in the film Gangubai Kathiyawadi. The actress was performing on stage for a special episode on her show Anupamaa, where Ranbir Kapoor and Vani Kapoor were present to promote their film Shamshera.
Madalsa was seen performing on one of the songs from the film Gangubai. Talking about it, she says, "I was very excited to be in that get-up of Alia Bhat. It was fun and something that I had never done before. It's very different from the character I have been playing on screen, so it felt like a breath of fresh air. I made sure to incorporate every detail of the make-up and dressing because I wanted it to be perfect. Like from having a cross mark on her face in the film to the red bindi she wore. I made sure to have those details in place."
The actress says Ranbir appreciated her dance performance. "He said that I looked and danced exactly like Alia... what better could I have heard from him than that it felt nice. I congratulated him for beginning his fatherhood journey and he wished me well for my future. It was the first time I met him. I was really happy dressing like Alia Bhatt and performing on her song in front of Ranbir Kapoor," says Madalsa.
