As the Gallagher brothers continue to kick butt on their long-awaited Oasis Live ‘25 tour, Lidl has pulled off the ultimate merch move: dropping a £30 parka complete with cooler pockets, a bottle-opener zip and a detachable tambourine.
Whether you’re in the pit or the beer garden, it’s here to help you live out your Britpop dreams without blowing your entire pay packet.
Dubbed the “Lidl by Lidl” jacket, the limited-edition drop is more than merch – it’s a knowing wink to Britpop’s parka-clad glory days, dropping just as the reunion fans have waited 15 years for begins.

Unveiled with a 30ft wonderwall mural outside Manchester’s Etihad Stadium, it follows Lidl’s tongue-in-cheek interactions with Liam Gallagher, including the time the supermarket slapped a blue plaque on a Manchester store after Liam joked he’d “gig in Lidl”.
The jacket itself is festival catnip: it features two insulated pockets to keep cans cold (ideal for a Freeway lager or Perlenbacher Pilsner), a bottle opener built into the zip for easy mid-gig refreshment, and a tambourine for spontaneous Live Forever moments.
A Lidl-coloured badge on the sleeve marks you as part of the in-joke, with all proceeds from sales going to the NSPCC when it launches on www.lidlbylidl.co.uk

The timing is perfect. Britpop style has never really left the British wardrobe, and as Oasis hit stadiums across the UK, fans are busy planning their fits with as much care as their setlist predictions.
Even if the sun holds, a parka slung over a Fred Perry polo remains the uniform, but there are plenty of ways to hit the right note if you want to channel your inner Gallagher.
Here’s how to nail the Britpop gig fit:

- On your feet: Adidas Gazelles or Superstars remain the Liam-approved choice, though the limited-edition Liam Gallagher x Adidas LG2 SPZLs are fetching £200+ if you want the real deal.
- Legs: Loose Levi’s in a dark or stonewash - currently 50% off - fit the 90s bill, or swap for a denim skirt or shorts if the weather’s hot.
- Tops: A Fred Perry polo is timeless, while a vintage football shirt (bonus points for Man City) or a simple band tee keeps it casual.
- Accessories: A sling bag or crossbody keeps hands free for pints, while Lidl’s own bucket hat and aviators – which will drop for free on launch day – add festival practicality and humour.
- Jackets: If you’re not snagging Lidl’s parka, look to vintage Stone Island or Napapijri for grit, or a classic Harrington for mod polish.
- Urban Outfitters also has a cute Oasis cami for £24

For those who miss out on Lidl’s parka, there’s no need to look back in anger: the supermarket is dropping branded bucket hats and aviators for free, so you can still channel the Britpop spirit without breaking the bank.
In a world where even the simplest merch can cost a small fortune, Lidl’s £30 parka offers fans the chance to show up in style while supporting a good cause.
Oasis kickstarted their long-awaited worldwide reunion tour at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on July 4th - their first concert in almost 16 years. The brothers had a triumphant performance in front of a sold-out crowd for the first time since their dramatic split in 2009, when they appear at the Welsh capital’s Principality Stadium.
Cast and the Verve frontman Richard Ashcroft were the opening acts.
There is only one week to go until the Gallagher brothers take to the stage of Wembley Stadium for the first of their London performances.
Last weekend, the brothers took to the stage at Heaton Park in Manchester, where the band first started, but next week Oasis will be heading to the capital with seven shows.
These will take place on Friday, July 25, Saturday, July 26, Wednesday, July 30, Saturday, August 2, Sunday, August 3, Saturday, September 27 and Sunday,
