Two lanes are currently closed on the M602 eastbound due to an overturned vehicle.
There are long delays due to the lane closures between junction one at Eccles Interchange and junction two for Gilda Brook Road at Trafford Park.
Highways England tweeted about the incident at 2.30pm, warning motorists about the closures.
They confirmed that the ambulance service were on the scene.
Police officers were en-route.
The tweet said: #M602 from #J1 ( #EcclesInterchange ) towards #J2 ( #GildaBrook #Salford ) currently has 2 lanes closed due to an overturned vehicle.

Traffic alerts are reporting delays of up to an hour, with normal traffic conditions expected between 4pm and 4.15pm.
