Four vehicles involved in a collision on the M2 city-bound have now been cleared from the scene.

Police were advising motorists to seek an alternate route while they dealt with the incident.

All lanes have now been reopened.

They recently added: "All vehicles have now been recovered and the motorway lanes are clear."

An Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service received a 999 call at 13.57 on Tuesday 18 June 2019 relating to a 4 vehicle RTC at Motorway, Westlink, Belfast.

"NIAS dispatched one Emergency crew, two Rapid Response Paramedics and one officer to the scene.
