M&S launches its version of Aperol Spritz in a can

M&S has added its own version of Aperol Spritz to its extensive collection of infamous cocktails in a can.

The new Aperitivo Spritz is the supermarket's take on one of the nation's favourite tipple.

This flavourful new cocktail is made using a crisp sparkling wine and fragrant orange bitters.

The cocktail is crafted to outstanding quality, boasting completely natural colours and flavourings while packing a punch with an impressive 8 per cent abv.

At just £2 for a 250ml can or £5 for the larger 750ml bottle, these great value cocktails are perfect for summer picnics, BBQ’s or even as a trendy new ‘walktail’ (walking cocktail).

M&S also recommends adding to ice lolly moulds for the ultimate cocktail on a stick.

Earlier this year, The Spirits Business reported that the trendy Aperol Spritz received over 33,000 searches on Google in just one month.

It has been named the favourite cocktail in 14 cities across the UK including Glasgow, Leeds and York.

Sam Pembridge, M&S Drinks Developer said – "This is not just any cocktail, this is one of the UK’s favourite cocktails, given the M&S magic treatment and available for our customers in a can.

"Our Aperitivo spritz captures the classic bittersweet taste, ready mixed and perfect for summer evenings.

"I pour mine over ice for maximum enjoyment but sipped straight from the can is delicious too.

"Our cans are iconic with our customers, we’ve launched many great quality, exceptional value cocktail favourites including the infamous Passion Star Martini and we think this new Aperitivo Spritz is going to join the ranks of these must-have cocktail cans - treat your taste buds and give it a try."

It's available in-stores now.
