M&S has issued a tongue-in-cheek "warning" to its shoppers over a dress they say "may cause compliments".
Taking to Instagram, the high street favourite shared a photo, originally posted by fashion writer Fran Bacon, to its 1.8million followers.
In the photo, Fran sports a black pure cotton midaxi smock dress in a relaxed fit, complete with lace detailing. The dress costs £45.
Captioning the image, M&S said: "Warning: this dress may cause compliments."
The dress proved a hit on the popular social media platform, racking up more than 6,100 likes.
