Lydia Bright unveils facial scar and swollen eyelid after secret surgery to remove lump

Lydia Bright has revealed that she was forced to undergo surgery to remove a lump on her eye.

The former TOWIE star made the announcement after she shared an Instagram post on Mother's Day which saw her with a bruised eye and a facial scar as fans quizzed the mum on what had happened.

The reality TV favourite, 32, posed in sweet snaps on Sunday with her beloved Debbie and her three-year old-daughter Loretta, as the happy family enjoyed Mother's Day together in the countryside.

Alongside the wholesome snap, Lydia penned: "Three generations Happy Mother’s Day @xdebbietowiex, I am so proud that you are mine and I am yours. You are unique, strong, warm, inspirational, ambitious. The matriarch of our magical family and the solid foundation of my life. Love you forever."

Despite Lydia's gushing caption, eagle-eyed fans were quick to point out her bruised face and scar as they rushed to ask the former TOWIE star if she was hurt in some kind of accident.

Lydia was then quick to set the record straight as she later explained that she had underwent a secret surgery to remove a mysterious lump from her eye.

After fans bombarded the mum with questions about her bruises, Lydia replied: " I had to have an op to remove a lump. It looks worse than it feels."

And after another concerned fan commented: "Is your eye ok?? Your an amazing mum," Lydia responded: "Getting better thank you."

On Monday, Lydia shared a close-up of her bruised and swollen eye to her Instagram stories.

Alongside the story, she penned: "Good Morning and Happy Monday. Feeling recharged, rested and so positive after the weekend's trip and reading your messages. Thank you."

It comes just days after Lydia's daughter Loretta was rushed to hospital after suffering a fall.

Last week, the star took to her Instagram Stories to share an update with fans as she discussed the difficulties she had faced this week.

The mum-of-one explained that while her young daughter was climbing, she had hit her head and was rushed to A&E to be looked at by medical staff.

"I still want to cry when I think about it now," she said alongside a broken heart emoji before adding: "Thankfully no stitches but she had to have the wound cleaned and glued."

Earlier this month, the tot celebrated her third birthday with none other than Lydia's ex, James Argent, performing at her extravagant celebrations.
