Luxembourg vs Northern Ireland: Paddy McNair and Bailey Peacock-Farrell ruled out of friendly

Northern Ireland will be without Paddy McNair and Bailey Peacock-Farrell for Friday's friendly against Luxembourg.

Versatile McNair has been ruled out with a bruised foot sustained in Middlesbrough's FA Cup defeat to Chelsea and will remain in Belfast to receive treatment.

Ian Baraclough remains unsure whether McNair will be available for next Tuesday's game against Hungary at Windsor Park.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Peacock-Farrell will not be travelling for the opening game at the Stade de Luxembourg but could be available for next week's home game against Hungary.

Meanwhile, there are doubts over Liverpool defender Conor Bradley who is nursing a knee injury and is currently being monitored by his club.

There was positive news for Baraclough earlier in the week when it was confirmed that Jonny Evans is available for the double-header.

Evans returned from injury to play almost half an hour as a substitute for Leicester City against Brentford on Sunday.

It was the 34-year-old’s first club action since December following a hamstring problem that required surgery and saw him sit out 15 of the Foxes' games in all competitions.
