Lufthansa flight lands in Dublin Airport after medical emergency on board

A flight from North America to Europe had to divert in Dublin Airport this morning.

The Lufthansa flight from Vancouver was due to go to Frankfurt but had to make a turn for Ireland after an medical emergency.

A Dublin Airport spokeswoman confirmed flight LH493, which had 367 passengers on board, left Dublin for Frankfurt again at 11.21am.

One eyewitness reported seeing an ambulance respond to the  Boeing 747-430 aircraft.

A Lufthansa spokesperson confirmed the news to Dublin Live saying crew decided the best option was to seek medical assistance on the ground.

After the emergency came up the immediately contacted Dublin and the person was seen to.
